Add a course description

From the course admin-view page, click on the 'Edit' icon to the right of 'Course Description Not Entered'. You will see a mult-line text box in which you may enter instructions for students to read on how to use the Digital Reading Room for the course, as per the figure below.

A new feature that has been added is the link feature, which allows you to create a link within the description. To create a link, highlight the text that you would like to make into a link within the description box, and then select the 'link' icon that is directly underneath the 'Change Description' button. A pop-up window will then appear in which you may enter the URL (i.e. web site address) to which you would like to link the text. Once you have entered the URL (and ensured that 'http://' is included in the URL), click the 'OK' button in the pop-up window, and the code to make your text into a link will automatically be included in the description text box.

When you are finished entering the description text and any links, click the 'Submit Description' button to save the changes.
